When Richard Rakovics first arrived in New Zealand, he quickly decided it wasn't for him and returned home to Europe. But it didn't take long before he realised what he was missing.

“I missed the openness, the greenery, the beaches and the lifestyle. I had to leave New Zealand to fully appreciate it,” he says.

A few months later, Richard was back in Aotearoa and has never looked back.
